The UK Government G-Cloud is an initiative that enables the public sector to procure cloud-based services via a Digital Marketplace. The platform’s main objective is to ease the procurement of cloud computing services by providing public sector bodies access to a pool of pre-approved suppliers.
On the Digital Marketplace, public sector organisations operating in the UK can search for suppliers covered by the G-Cloud framework and buy services without having to go through full tendering or procurement processes.
The Crown Commercial Service has granted Futures Platform permission to sell on the Digital Marketplace starting from the 9th of November 2022. “G-Cloud certification is a big step forward in realising our mission to empower organisations to co-shape desirable futures. The G-Cloud framework operates an online catalogue where public sector customers can buy cloud-based services such as hosting, software and cloud support from providers of all sizes, ranging from SMEs to larger companies.
All the suppliers have to go through an application and selection period that will give them the right to procure services through the digital marketplace when accepted.
